What is a Bum Deal?

THE NHS - Another example of a bum deal is the NHS, having drained us for all our working lives, Governments have spent the money on Trident missiles, nuclear submarines and nuclear powered aircraft carriers such as the Queen Elizabeth class, all the while not providing homes for people living on the streets. Having done so the NHS is virtually a work to rule organisation stripped to the bone of facilities that has led to Britain topping 100,000 Covid-19 deaths in January of 2021, making the UK the highest casualty area in all Europe. Boris and his flunkies have got a lot to answer for. No wonder in some European states, they call him the Clown.

PITY THE PORCELAIN - Imagine being a toilet, with all those bums pouring their hearts out. You could be forgiven for thinking this was symbolic of the UK parliament, judging by the quality of the decisions and the use of public money.

HIGH RENTS - Then there is the lack of affordable housing in the UK, with Conservative policies favouring wealthy landlords and financial slavery for the masses. The way the Conservatives see it is that sustainability is keeping themselves and their chums in luxury, and keeping the workers paying through their noses to keep fat bankers fatter, driving Rolls Royce's, Bentley's and Aston Martin's.

The United Nations' see it another way. Sustainability is eliminating poverty and hunger, providing affordable homes and energy, and working to eliminate desertification and acid oceans.

NAZI GERMANY - The holocaust was a bum deal for the inmates of concentration camps, but great for the Nazi's who stole their property, not unlike landlords milking the poor for high rents, because there are no affordable homes for those starting out in life to escape a life of renting poverty.

COVID 19 - JANUARY 2021 - Chinese health authorities have started using anal tests to detect Covid-19 infection. A measure that has generated varying reactions to a treatment considered effective but invasive.

State broadcaster CCTV reported on Saturday that sanitation workers performed anal swabs on residents of neighbourhoods with confirmed coronavirus cases in Beijing last week. The same as people who remained in quarantine facilities.

According to Li Tongzeng from Beijing You’an Hospital, to collect test samples, the swab needs to be inserted about three to five centimetres (1.2 to 2 inches) into the rectum and rotated several times, stating that the anal test method “may increase the detection rate of infected people,” since traces of the virus remain in the anus longer than in the respiratory tract.

State media reported that more than 1,000 staff and students at the infected young patient’s school also underwent a variety of nucleic acid tests including the anal swabs.

Small localised outbreaks in recent weeks have isolated several cities in northern China from the rest of the country and led to massive testing campaigns, which so far have mainly been done with throat and nose swabs.

“We found that some asymptomatic patients tend to recover quickly. It’s possible that there will be no trace of the virus in their throat after three to five days,” Li added.

“But the virus lasts longer from the samples taken from the patient’s digestive tract and excrement, compared to the ones taken from the respiratory tract.

“If we conduct anal swabs for nucleic acid testing, it would increase the detection rates of patients and lower the chance of a missed diagnosis,” the expert claimed.

Users of the popular Chinese social media platform Weibo reacted to the method with a one user humorously commenting: “I have had two anal swabs, every time I did one I had to do a throat swab afterwards. I was so scared that the nurse would forget to use a new swab.”

Thomas Crapper founded his sanitary equipment company to make taking a dump less of a bum deal.

EVEN THE NAZIS ALLOWED INMATES TOILETS - During World War Two, the Germans allowed the prisoners on concentration camps to use toilets.
