'T' JUNCTION - Chapel Row leads into Church Road. Now the villagers are referring to this section of road as the Back Passage, where it leads to Shit Creek.

HEADING WEST - There is no stopping this pipe, though we wonder how much shit it is actually going to be able to handle. Human shit is one thing, political corruption is a whole lot more crap and way more smelly.

Chapel Row is a narrow country road that leads into Church Road at the junction of Lime Park. There are two churches on this road, one at the southern end near Herstmonceux Castle and the other about 400 yards from the A271, Gardner Street.

In 2020, Southern Water constructed a storage tank and pumping facility for shit, urine and grey water discharges from the proposed 70 house development in the field near Lime Cross, put forward by Tim Watson in 2015. This facility is known locally as Shit Creek.

SOUTHERN WATER

The contractors for sewage disposal in Herstmonceux is Southern Water. They are used to dealing with shit. Shit is their bread and butter. They appear not to care about pumping shit from Church Road, via the A271, Gardner Street, to Victoria Road, despite the un-sustainability of such proposals.

DO THEIR TREATMENTS MAKE SENSE?

When looked at under a magnifying glass, the decision to build a pumping station off Chapel Row (Church Road), and pump the putrid defecations up hill to meet with the A271, and then along Gardner Street to Victoria Road, adds more potential problems to an already problematic installation, introducing potential backflow problems to the village, that already pumps its shit uphill to the Victoria Road treatment plant.

MAY 2020 - Southern Water getting stuck into their newest shit pumping station in Herstmonceux, Sussex. Human feces (or faeces) are the solid or semisolid remains of food that could not be digested or absorbed in the small intestine of humans, but has been rotted down by bacteria in the large intestine. It also contains bacteria and a relatively small amount of metabolic waste products such as bacterially altered bilirubin, and the dead epithelial cells from the lining of the gut. It is discharged through the anus during a process called defecation.
